Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news site has a TV personality, author, and an philanthropist. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England with her family at 16 years old. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. Then she became a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online platform to voice opinions that offered criticisms on political scenarios. Her popularity allowed her to persuade a number of celebrities to contribute their opinion on current events, as well as politics and culture. Arianna became famous during 2003 when she volunteered for California's recall election, in the place of Governor Davis. In addition, she also spearheaded an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes named her the "most powerful women" within the field of media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group and also included several the other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. She graduated in 1972 with an advanced degree in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a columnist critic and a television host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's help.
