Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg was raised in Wellington and first made her acting debut as Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 as Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for the Best Supporting Actress award for portraying the inquisitive and talkative daughter of Holly Hunter's lead part on the film The Piano. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of a mute Scottish pianist who in the middle of the 19th century makes her way from Scotland to New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an audition for open casting at the age of nine. She was old and had almost no prior experience in acting. At the age of 17, Paquin was able to move to the United States. Paquin was in a brief role in the movie's title character, when she was in the midst of her childhood in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and she was a leading character in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 TV movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role in the title role as Queen Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She was also a character on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon(1999) as well as Almost Famous (2000). Also, she played the character Polexia Aphrodisa.
