She was crowned Miss Columbus in 1985 after having a crown kiss, and beating the competition. Her victory qualified for her to participate in the Miss Georgia contest in June 1985. Additionally, on the weekend of June 22nd, 1985 she was the winner of the competition. Mohr was crowned winner of the tournament, went on to compete for Georgia as Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City in New Jersey in September of 1985. Mohr did not make it to the Top 10 Finalist for the title of Miss National.
