Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to direct, act and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain and her mother is a "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at her job. In her early years, Anna appeared on several commercials on television. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career, eventually making the move in Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. They got engaged in 2009. They were married at a civil wedding ceremony in December and they renewed their vows at an Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism.
