StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her breakthrough role was in Miss Bala (2011), the Mexican crime drama film. The film also featured her in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father Sigman is the daughter of a U.S. citizen. Her brother who is a the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was once engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career in the field of Mexican television, before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011, she played the leading role of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was chosen as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, however it didn't make the cut. [9] Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her work as an editor in the film industry in 2011.
