In 1997, she had her acting debut when she was 13. Her acting debut came at the age of 13 in 1997. Following her studies and working as a background actor on Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea, Harriet the Spy and Goosebumps She was also offered speaking roles in the Canadian horror series Are You Afraid Of The Dark? and Goosebumps. Vandervoort was cast in Smallville, a serial drama that airs on The CW. She as Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent" as the character that will eventually transform into Supergirl. The season 7 episode was the first time she was a regular in the series. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" in the eighth season episode. [3] She then returned to two more episodes of the season ten, and in the finale of Smallville. Vandervoort produced the sequel of Into the Blue, titled Into the Blue 2 - The Reef.
